Summary
Types of Staking in Rome
Burn Staking (Forge & Temple):
Purpose: Designed for users seeking higher returns and willing to participate in the protocol long term activities.
Process: Participants opt to burn a percentage of their $ROME tokens. This not only helps reduce the total token supply, enhancing the value of the remaining tokens but also qualifies them for higher reward tiers and mint function.
Rewards: Burn stakers receive enhanced yields due to their contribution to the token economy's deflationary pressure. This includes a combination of $ROME and $wS, offering a real yield earning opportunity. Rewards are distributed twice a week on Monday and Thursday at 9PM UTC.
Pools Staking using Mint Function and LP creator (Forge & Market):
Purpose: Encourages the use of the minting function to foster liquidity and enhance token value.
Process:
Users must first burn $ROME tokens to access $bROME via the Forge.
Once in possession of $bROME, users must destroy these tokens to mint new $ROME tokens.
These newly minted $ROME tokens can then be used to create LP tokens in the Market, with the conversion being "1 minted $ROME equals 1 LP power."
The LP tokens created are then staked in pools that earn both $wS and $ROME.
Rewards: Burn Pools receive returns in a mix of $ROME and $wS tokens, derived from 10,500 $ROME allocated to staking rewards and a share of the revenues generated from real yields. Rewards are distributed twice a week on Monday and Thursday at 9PM UTC.
